What a Class Act-ion

It only took a class action lawsuit for Apple to realize they needed to change their stance.  How can people follow this company?  Their products are good but their demeanor is horrible.  First telling everyone that they are just holding the product wrong.  Then giving their customer service reps a script to tell the customer their product is superior when in fact it is not.  Insisting that people buy a $29 bumper to fix the problem.  Wow, really?  The class action lawsuit should still happen.  Apple should be punished.

My thoughts on what should be done?  Steve Jobs should be fired.  He should not be allowed to come back to Apple.  People, he is not a God.  He is nothing more than a visionary, a single vision.  That is all Apple needs to move forward.  That is what separates them from other companies.  It is why all their products flow, why they all look good, and why they are easily usable.  There are not 500 different groups making decisions.  There is a single vision controlling everything.  Any good visionary could take the reins and make Apple products look, work, and sell just as good.

Time to usher in a new attitude at Apple.  I am so sick of the smug "we're better than you" attitude whenever I step foot in an Apple store.

It is time for change.

Upon investigation, we were stunned to find that the formula we use to calculate how many bars of signal strength to display is totally wrong. Our formula, in many instances, mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should for a given signal strength," wrote Apple. "Users observing a drop of several bars when they grip their iPhone in a certain way are most likely in an area with very weak signal strength, but they don't know it because we are erroneously displaying 4 or 5 bars. Their big drop in bars is because their high bars were never real in the first place.

Mac Switch...

I did my best to stay with Mac for 30 days and failed but not why you think.  I loved the OS and the experience.  But I am a realist.  The reality is that I can't afford to switch my family to Macs.  If I could, I would sell every piece of PC hardware I have and switch to Macs.  Because I can foresee that there is no way I can do this I had to switch back.

So for now I am using Linux and Windows.

Sorry Mac fanboys, would love to join your cult but it is an expensive one.

Why Delete Facebook?

I keep getting asked why I deleted my facebook account when a lot of my information is public anyway. It's like this, I made that other information public. Mark Zuckerberg decided to take it upon himself to make the information I had in my Facebook profile and make it public for his own monetary gain. It should have been opt-in from the beginning, not opt-out. I share what I want to share, not what he or the other money hungry individuals at Facebook want to share for me.

Fight the power!

Facebook...

I am sick of people coming up with an awesome idea and then selling out.  Money leads to greed.  Therefore I will be deleting my facebook account here in the very near future.  Please keep checking this site for updates.
